"But down here in the valley, we are real people. This is a red state."

I need to clear-out leave the solar system. Mars isn't far enough away to run from the stupid. Have we found any Earth-like worlds recently?

Senator Jay Leno, huh.

Only people in red states are real people, huh.

Some years she didn't even vote, huh. (Sorry, but that right there, to me, invalidates what she has to say.)

And people are taking her seriously?

Shoot me. x.x

"Saturday night in a San Francisco bathhouse -- a scene straight out of hell ... so sordid, so shocking, so sinful and morally repulsive, you'll never see it on the evening news. Howard Stern doesn't come close, and even the eighteenth-century sensualist, the Marquis de Sade, could scarcely imagine the sheer degradation and perversion that occurs in places like this on regular basis, virtually around the clock."

I like how she brings the good Marquis into it. Clearly she's never read him. I've NEVER seen or heard of a bathhouse anywhere close to his level.

And she's crying because hunting with dogs was outlawed? WTH. That's a GOOD thing, lady! Think of the number of dogs who won't get KILLED by bears anymore! O_O

And the damn "I'm not anti-homosexual! I have gay friends!" thing came up again.

Argh.

[livejournal.com profile] conuly, I love ya, but you link to some depressing stuff sometimes.
(Sorry for long, rambly comment.)

I like how the article at no point expresses the other side, or flashed the question "why should Christians run the world?"

I HATE when people say that "the homosexual lifestyle" is all about "steamy, sordid massive orgies" and the like.

At least there WAS a hint of reason from people near the bottom of that article.

But yeah, when people are deathly afraid to admit their homosexuality until later in life, the dumb fundies who see it think "ooh it must be learned." OMG people are going to "catch teh GAY!!" Give me a frelling BREAK.

Indeed, we may have to move to the remotest parts of Antarctica to run from the stupid.

Franklin says he has gay friends, and while they may disagree on this issue, "it doesn't mean we won't be friends."

Well, that rather depends on whether your gay friends have the self-respect to shed themselves of you or not. I know that I certainly don't bother talking to people who don't believe I deserve basic rights. Except my mother. But she's my mother.
