I told you she's not feeling well... and she was having real problems going to sleep, so I put her in the swing. BIG mistake. Somehow, as I was closing the straps, I managed to pinch her thumb. The three longest seconds of my life were spent looking into her wide round eyes. She honestly couldn't believe that had happened, her mouth fell open, and she kept staring at me.
And then she started screaming. And screaming. Well, I would be too, but that doesn't mean I wanted to hear it, I felt guilty enough! I strapped her in correctly, ran to the upstairs porch, grabbed some snow for her thumb (after checking that it was neither broken nor bleeding) and ran back. That worked, she grabbed it and started sucking the snow, but I feel sooooooo bad!
