Sometimes I feel far more Christian than those who identify themselves as Christian. At least I do want to help the poor and the sick, and I try to only judge others after very careful consideration. While I sometimes view it as necessary to lock someone up as societal self-defense, I do not generally hate or condemn people even for horrible, inexcusable things like raping children - I simply feel that they have done something terrible and have profound, perhaps unfixable issues, but regardless, it's not safe to have them running around freely.

I kind of wish more people who call themselves Christian held my views. They seem like views Jesus would more or less get along with. I respect most of the things people say Jesus said or did. I'm not always fond of Paul though.

Regardless, I'm not really clear on why so many people call themselves Christian and then do or don't do such nasty things.
