Paid comms don't get photo hosting, do they? Why not? Should I bother asking this to be changed?

Alternatively, if they do, how do I do that?

IIRC, one of the reasons for that sort of thing was to prevent a group of people clubbing together, purchasing one paid comm, making them all co-maintainers, and all getting free image hosting. Though I may be misremembering.

But they could still buy one paid regular account that nobody ever updates and use that for free image hosting.

Yeah, but they couldn't all have access to the account then, unless they shared the password. (Of course, co-maintainers of a comm have about the same security risk...)

I wonder whether paid shared journals get photo hosting...
