Guess what didn't happen?
The bill didn't get paid. So I now have to trek around to all my professors with a damn late add form and get re-added. I'll do that Tuesday, when all my professors are there.
I also lost my glasses. You can imagine that this makes me cranky, because I can't go to school without them. I can't go *anywhere* without them, except possibly the optometrist, because I cannot see. It's a good thing I can type, or I wouldn't be able to say this.
Well, I mean, I *can* see, but not very well. Not without my glasses. Although I do have excellent night vision, that's something to be happy about....
So, anyway, I'm running around *freaking out* and my mom keeps trying to say "No, I'll go in with you and pay the bill in full!"
Um, no, mommy, you won't. Because there is no bill. Because I have no classes. Because the bill didn't get paid.
And no, mommy, you *can't* pay the bill and register me for classes because the only way they'll let me do that is with a late add form from each professor. Yes, I do have classes today, but only two. Not five. Three out of five professors (60%) won't be there. No, you can't solve it by paying the bill. There is no bill.
And, really, mommy, there are no circumstances under which I would like to appear at school with my mommy. Not because of you, but because there are no circumstances under which I would like to appear at school with my mommy.
And you really couldn't help anyway.
And no I will *not* take a deep breath, it's filled with cigarette smoke in here.
And can I go now? I'm going to scream (again) soon, and I still have yet to find my glasses.
And no, I will *not* go to class without them. I cannot see without my glasses. I feel as though I'm about to be hit by a car every time I cross the street. I am *not* going to class without my glasses. Ooh, that rhymes.
Time to go now. Must find glasses. Forgive any typoes, but I think I type well enough that it's not a worry.
Edit: Found them!
*laughs*
I feel so stupid now. Usually, I put them on the windowsill so I can find them easily. Occasionally, I go to bed late and for some reason put them next to my alarm clock, or else on the side table. This causes some small panic until I look in one of those two places and calm down.
They weren't any of those places. They were on the milk crate under the table that holds my alarm clock. No, I don't know what I was thinking, but they were in plain view, really. And now I feel silly, but at least I can *see*.

And if a bill is paid late, it's still paid... *shrugs*
Yeah, but if you don't pay your electric or phone or cable bill, it's shut off eventually. This is the same thing.
