How insane. If it's in the public domain, I can get it online for free instead of having to pay $15 for it. Especially when we aren't even reading the entire thing.

Anyway, I'm scrolling through a quick glossary of Middle English words Chaucer used and find this:

kankedort noun bad situation
kaynard noun dotard, a person who is feeble-minded

Aren't those just two of the coolest words ever? I have to start using them, along with jangles (gossip), clyket (key), bireve (remove, deprive, take away), bileve (remain, stay), taas (heap), swyve (copulate with), and nyfles (silly stories).

Go look it up on Urbandictionary.com! In short, "I pwn j00" means "I own you", or "I rock/you suck". I love that site though. It has ALL the stupid phrases and words 13 year old retards are using these days online, and I check it quite frequently.

Hah, 1337 is somewhat of a paradox for me. It's such an exaggeration of shorthand and horrible grammar that grammatical rules don't even apply to it anymore. For someone like myself that reads the NYT with a red pen in hand, it's most definitely cringe-worthy. I correct spoken grammar as well, if I'm around the right crowd. If it's rude to say anything, I still do it in my head...and that's even more painful. I play fast and loose with posting though, as long as I still sound like an intelligent dumbass instead of a didn't-pass-2nd-grade dumbass.

LOL! I know! Sometimes, when my profs screw up their grammar, voices in my head scream for me to correct them. ::snerk::

Actually, once my Latin prof was talking about word agreement, and he accidentally said "is" for a plural noun. I said "are" back at him, just because it was too good to pass up, and he knows me... very well. haha.

Haha, yeah, I know. I just did it to this prof because I knew he would take it "well." He just looked at me and said, "See, ten years ago, you wouldn't have dared to say that!" (He had also been talking about respect in the system going down, haha)
