Here.

Gah.

Lisa has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, which triggered a spending addiction. She was said to have an obsession with shopping and had a £2,000 shoe collection. In June 2003, Lisa was sectioned under the Mental Health Act and detained.

Lisa is alleged to have Asperger's syndrome. Since she denies this, and only her mother has spoken with this claim (no doctors or anybody, as far as I can tell), it is wrong to treat this as a proven fact. Furthermore, AS does not trigger spending addictions. Unless I'm missing something...? And, of course, the fact that her parents got her locked up would mean a lot more if she hadn't been let out a few months later.

Umm I'd not think that has a thing to do with AS. I'd say she has OCD and her version of OCD is different than mine. Maybe she has OCPD. I just recheck things to make sure they are locked or shut off sometimes and I do get repetitive thinking when anxiety disorder gets triggered.

I think as the woman was sectioned they'll do a psych assessment. One of my ex chromatix had one of his friends get sectioned once. They psych assessed that dude.

The woman could of been fixated on something from AS but like I said sounds more like she has a OCD varient or OCPD.
