Has anybody ever considered compiling the most interesting/insightful/funny LJ posts and, with the authors' permission, printing a book? Or... um... something?

Yes, I *am* very bored, how did you guess? There's a Monk marathon on, but I don't like the episode that's playing now.

I'm not sure about that, but i would be definitely interested in a community that did so. Like the inverse of [livejournal.com profile] u_make_lj_suck, I think there should be a [livejournal.com profile] u_make_lj_rock (not funny, because not everything that makes lj rock is funny, but just all the best posts ever).

It's be cool. People could nominate by posting then monthly we'd poll over whether each nomination shoudl be added to the community's interests as making lj rock.

I personally think that's a great idea. I would narrow it down by date or topic. Example: the first post by each of 200 members of LJ after Bush was declared the winner of November's election. LJ users could be chosen randomly, but I would I would break it down to one-third Bush supporters, one-third Kerry supporters, and one-third undecided. I think it would make for some fascinating reading. Because it would be the first post by each after the announcement, it would presumably contain the most unvarnished reactions.

I know--I'm just saying what I would do. :) Your idea is excellent!

How'd you do that fake LJ user link?

That would be cool, but there'd be way to much to sort through, and lots of hilarious posts would get jipped.

I just used the lj user tags for a name that didn't exist....

Weird... That usually gives a [bad username in LJ tag], doesn't it?

Doesn't for me: I thought that was just bad tagging. Maybe I'm special.
