I'm still irked that she didn't leave an email in the post. Hmph. But at $10 an hour, I could do this. Maybe.... *sighs* I'll check it out in the morning, when awake. And when I've decided if faceblind is a good word to use. I *do* have trouble recognizing people sometimes (once I didn't recognize 'dul and Ana at the boat, that was embarassing) but mostly that's because I don't pay attention. I think. *frowns and tries to think* Help?

Edit: Yes, I know there's an email on the site. I'm just irked that I had to, y'know, look for it.

Well, see, NT people don't usually have to pay attention to be able to recognize people, especially people they don't know. Talk to these folks (once they leave an email, which... dumbasses) and tell them that you have a milder version of it. They may be interested on those grounds alone.

i perserverate over faces - especially eyes - so i tend to recognise people quickly. just can't remember their darn names.

on the flip side, i generally either see the face, or the rest of the person. i'm completely lost in crowds. all those moving colours and shapes...

That reminds me of the therapist who wanted me to speak at a conference as an aspie adult... and kept calling me on the phone to set things up, even after I told him that I was much more comfortable with email. Can't see the trees for the forest.

::headdesk:: Yeah, if people try to schedule things on the phone with me, there's the added risk that I'll misunderstand what they said and show up at the wrong time entirely, on the wrong day, in the wrong place. Text is so much easier!

I'm faceblind.
I recognise people from their hair.
Everytime people change their hair, I don't recognise them.
This has caused much ribbing from my friends Ann & Mark cos I've failed to recognise Mark everytime he changed his hair.
Ann just lets me know who she is if she's coloured her hair or anything.
She is really cool.

Even if Ken gets his hair trimmed, I get anxious until I realise what is bothering me.
