Okay. Well. Even though I've fucked up royally when it comes to this term...

At least, when it comes to my American Gov. class...

I've got my new and improved proposed scheduling plan for the next several years! I'm almost certainly *not* graduating on time, even if we disregard the year off for Americorps I'm definitely doing if I can. That gives me plenty of time for:

Spanish, starting first college classes next term, continuing through Spanish literature, for an eventual BA with Linguistics (dual major)

French through 4th year.

Latin through at least 3 years, possibly 4.

The Greek Institute (two years of ancient Greek in one summer)

German two years OR German one year, another language (possibly Arabic) the other

History minor.


Please. Feel free to tell me how insane I am. By next year, I will never be studying less than 3 languages a term. Or, year after next if Americorps is next year, which I need to find out what I want to do in that direction....

Wow, lots of languages! ^_^ But that's plain awesome that you know what you want to do with your life and what you're interested in and want to study.

I didn't know you were interested in/taking French!

Well, I want to take Arabic because I've been hearing a *lot* about Semitic verb roots lately, and while Hebrew is offered at 8am, Arabic is offered at 6pm. So you know which one *I* am leaning towards. Japanese is something I intend to learn... but after I'm in grad school, most likely.

Okay, you're insane. :) I'm taking spanish starting either summer or fall....depending on if I transfer to CUNY (which I might, since how many jobs are there for Maritime Studies' students?) or stick around here...in any case, you know you're going to whoop up on the languages, so don't worry. :) YOU WILL BE FINE!
