My first job after graduation was working as an assistant genealogical researcher at the College of Arms. It did not last beyond the end of that summer, because there was an economic crisis that meant the supply of Americans wanting pedigrees (presumably leading to coats of arms in due course) drastically fell off.

My cat Nico would prefer if I brushed her with my own brush. She will try to brush herself with mine if I leave it out bristles up. Sadly, she's the one who's sleek enough she doesn't need brushing like the other two.
