Honestly, if you ban somebody it ought to warn you before you comment on their posts so that if you forget or don't realize you don't end up in an awkward situation.

I think someone I follow linked to one of your posts, and I could not see it so I had assumed it was private and I had been banished from the island for unknown reasons. That is why I unsubscribed.

Gosh, I'm sorry you went through that. I'm kinda glad it was just a user error and not a major system glitch. It sounds like maybe somebody linked to a locked post of mine, though if so, that was a possibly bit of a faux pas on their part, as that's not considered polite. It's also possible they had a bookmark to some post I made more private than it had once been. There's not a lot of those, though, and none, I think, of any note.

I ban people by accident all the time because it's on the pop-up thingie. I usually notice and unban them a second later.
