The guy wouldn't do his job, and then got upset when he got fired.

Look, it's simple. If you're in a wheelchair, and you can't get a teaching job because of this, you have a right to be pissed. But if you can't get a job as an acrobat, well, that's probably because you really can't do it.

Similarly, if this guy was getting fired from a teaching job over his religion, that's wrong. But getting fired when because of his religion he can't do his job properly? No. He needs to find another job that wont' cause him spiritual pain. He's not being persecuted, despite what he thinks. He's just expected to do his job, and if he can't, he needs to find a job he can do.

I completely second that motion!

Just because he believes a certain way does not give him the right to violate EVERYONE ELSE'S constitutional rights.

He's lucky, had I been that girl, I probably would have hopped the counter and slapped him upside the head.

Here in Texas, it's not uncommon--or illegal--for a pharmacist to refuse to fill a birth control prescription. Where that man stepped over the line was in refusing to refer her to someone who *would* fill it. That's illegal, even in our state.

Because, of course, it's all about HIM, not the health of the people he's supposed to be helping.
