Can't wait to hear the exaggerated anger at how dare they retaliate....

There will certainly be plenty of profound exaggeration of anger at the retaliation, but all accounts suggest that Iran confined itself to a military target, gave advance notice so that civilians could be removed from the target zone, and otherwise scrupulously tried to make sure the only people hurt or killed were the people they wanted to target.

It is. I suspect we've had far too long of thinking the answer to "well, what're you going to do about it?" to anyone who complains is "nothing." And then demonstrating just how much we're willing to do to ensure the answer really is "nothing."

Well, Trump is following Netanyahu's lead here, so "how dare they retaliate!" is very likely.

Finally, for once, they stuck to military targets instead of going after civilians and hospitals. I don't imagine it's new policy so much as fear of another round from Trump, but still... we take what we can get.
