and, miraculously, every one of them has spelled her name correctly. I feel like I ought to buy a lottery ticket or something!

(Is it too condescending to praise people for getting it right when they do it? Because, honestly, it's a tricky name! I feel accomplished every time I manage to get past streat without stumbling, to say nothing for feild.)

I've heard of her, and I've even read one of her books, but I've never had to write her name.

It *is* tricky, but it's really hard to be pleased about it without accidentally coming across as patronising or sarcastic (FTR, I think you managed not to do that!). Certainly it is a name I would be checking very carefully if I were writing it down.
