They're a bit shameless at never taking people off their mailing lists, so be sure to use the address of some friend or neighbor you don't particularly like.

"Whoops, I have no idea how my cards addressed to my name ended up at your house! Well, it's for a good cause, here, you can have half to make up for the inconvenience!"

After my parents died and I had their mail forwarded to my house, some months later I got a call from the ACLU. They had updated Dad's address to mine (fine: I forwarded that! Not what I wanted, but so it goes)...and reverse-looked up "his" phone number from "his" new address. And told me he must have used it on his account. (He never did.)

I haven't given them any money since, despite liking what they do, because I don't want to let them find me again. They do NOT let go of info they have. At all.
