We were going to finally pick up some Star Trek again now that we all had time

but Paramount Plus screwed us over. So instead we decided to finally make use of our Apple TV subscription and watched Severance. In theory this is a thriller about people who can only remember work at work and can only remember the rest of their lives (but not work) outside of work, but actually I don't much care about the thriller stuff, I mostly am there for the charming and sweet romance about two men who are finding first love in a cult.

Also, there's a newbie who has been determined from Day One to get a message to her "outie" so she'd resign, but as they have machines that magically detect text (even if you've swallowed it!) she's had some trouble finding a method that works. (And when she finally did, by threatening to chop off her own fingers in a paper guillotine if her resignation wasn't sent in for review, it transpired that her other self is a fucking bitch who does not care at all, but that's beside the point.) I'm just watching this woman trying valiantly to swallow a carefully sealed pen cap with a message inside before she's warned off that it won't work and she does not want to do that, but, like - if you poop out a pen cap you're not going to dig around for the hidden message! You'll know what the message is! The message is "it's so bad in here I've resorted to drastic measures to get you to resign!"

Severance is a lot of things. It’s more than thriller, it gets really surreal. I’m there for the team dynamics.

I love Severance. It gets more creepy and WTF as the season progresses.

So what happened with Paramount? Whenever I sign in I’m inundated with Star Trek show suggestions (yes, they know what I liked).

It's working on our phone, not on our TV.

We had the opposite issue- it was fine on the tv but not the iPad. My wife finally uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and so far it works for her.
