Patriot act...

I'm not sure what to believe here. I do, of course, love that library sign "The FBI has not been here... watch very carefully for removal of this sign", but I'm not so sure that big government really would bother getting involved in petty crime... or that it would be held up is smaller governments used the patriot act as a defense for abandoning the constitution. Furthermore, though I've read a lot about what *could* happen, I haven't read much about anything actually, y'know, happening. Oh, a few things about people being visited by the FBI, but nobody got arrested or anything... *sighs* Well, more thoughts forthcoming... from you, I hope.

I. Hate. This. Act. It is the most unAmerican POS I have ever read-- and they're planning on passing a second that'll allow cops to write their own warrants! Which I wouldn't be against if it was possible to implicitly trust cops-- which it's not.

I'm waiting for it to be challenged in court-- it will be-- but as of right now, it would be unpatriotic to do so.

Funny how the Patriot Act is so Orwellian, isn't it?
