Speaking as your friendly neighbourhood rainforest-dweller, a drizzle simply doesn't put enough water on the ground to break a drought, no matter how unpleasant it is to endure it.

But it's been going on for days. Plural! More than two of them!

And probably put no more than two or three cm of water total on the ground. Your local weather guessers will have the actual amount but it may be a bit difficult to find.
