About to binge Lower Decks

Watched a little more Voyager with E as well.

Let's see... Holographic Da Vinci has an adventure and honestly, Janeway ought to reprogram him to be a little more self-aware or else reset him back to the last save point. I did not remember this episode at all.

Neelix dies and then is allowed to have a feeling about it, but honestly, they should've just lied to him and said he was in a perfectly ordinary coma. Also, they need to fucking hire a therapist at the next planet or something, and also a few nurses.

Blah blah dreams and Native Americans are literally magic, so we skipped it.

The Doctor goes to a prototype ship and pals around with another EMH and it is amazing. Starfleet declines to send them a second EMH to back up the first one. They could really use a second doctor, though, so I don't know why they made that call. (I know why the show made that call, I just think Starfleet Command ought to have made a different one. They don't know they're fictional, after all!)

We're about to head into a herd of Hirogen episodes which... I mean, they're okay.

Watsonuan reasns should really be thought through so the audience doesn’t have to remember the Dotlist ones, which literally take one out of the story.

Three lines about "Oh, how terrible, we don't have the memory for both of us" would've set my mind so much at ease. Well, sorta at ease - they still need to hire a doctor and a few nurses. A Delta Quadrant doctor might or might not be much good, I continue to doubt that doctors can really do much for species they're unfamiliar with, but they can't be worse than Tom Paris.

I've been meaning to sign up for Paramount for a month and do Lower Decks. I haven't bothered with the recent efflorescence of Star Trek, but it looks good!

For that matter, why couldn't a second "copy" of the EMH be running at the same time?

It's not like the computers are low power after all...

Actually, I think they have stated that it takes a comparatively enormous amount of processing power to run his program, especially since he keeps running all the time.

Why it takes so much to run his program and not so much to run the entire holodeck is never explained.

Especially after the EMH gets the mobile transmitter!

It's not really clear to me where his program is running from even when they state it's downloaded into the mobile emitter. They seem to be vague and handwavey about it.
