Cute li'l 10 year old kid (I think 10... might be mistaken). Well, she no longer lives down the block, but anyway.
*laughs* Her friend mentioned, in passing, that there were two (shockshock) lesbians on our block. Well, I say, of course, there's nothing WRONG with that.
"What... are you gay?" Gotta love the junior high mindset. Apparently, though, being gay is wrong because it's just so icky. Nevermind that, frankly, at that age, all sex is, or should be, icky, gay sex is just really icky. Because, y'know, sometimes they tongue kiss.
So I used my patented "It's kinda like being a lefty" speech on her, which makes the point without giving any details at all (I don't care how many books your parents bought you, Leessy, I'm not spilling the beans to you and your friends myself, 'k?) and that shut her up pretty much, allowing me to go on my merry way to see Ana. *nodnodnod*
And do you know, 'dul forgot the book? Mommy's not gonna be happy....
