My cat, Callie, has been excessively snuggly lately

I like to snuggle, don't get me wrong, but once in a while I want to do other things.

A change in behavior can mean a health issue, you might want to watch that her eating and eliminating is okay.

Yeah, she’s eating fine. She’s just… very snuggly. And to be fair, since she’s only liked two humans in her life, one of whom was my mother, all her snuggles only have one outlet.

A snuggly cat is adorable, if sometimes inconvenient. My orange tabby crawls into my arms sometimes and clings and purrs and headbutts my head. It’s so sweet and almost always when I’m about to go out. 😸

She is my darling, but she's really cautious to warm up to other people. Like, she's known the rest of the family her entire life, and the only reason she became close to my mother is a. the dogs moved in and b. after two years of avoiding the dogs by hanging out in the opposite corner of Mommy's room from her, she decided that maybe Mommy was a safe person to approach.

My cats snuggle more in colder weather, could that be it?

That's a possibility. Of course, most falls and winters she seems to get slightly depressed - just a smidge more listless, less grooming. More snuggling instead *could* be seen as an improvement if she keeps it up.

We have had Theadora just short of two years and she'd never been cuddly with us in all that time. But a few months ago her buddy Ollie died -- he was very old -- and suddenly she's become a lap kitty. Ollie was the king of snuggles and it's so nice to have a cuddly cat again.
