A few weeks ago two ancient axes were shipped to a museum in Ireland

The first I heard about it was one week ago, when The Case of the Mysterious Axe Heads was solved.

And then in the past few days several people have posted one of the earlier articles, from when we had no idea who mailed them or where they came from.

So here's the update, if anybody was wondering :)

Seems to be a fairly common story of someone finding good artifacts on their land, because the land itself is going to be very full of artifacts. Which is still cool, because more artifacts.

The national museum, [the finder] added, were “horrid happy over this whole discovery”.

I like that turn of phrase.
