I'm thinking the internet has for some reason or other - has made people think they can share whatever thought randomly pops into their heads and not suffer the consequences? Not sure why they think this? But they do.

Also for reasons that are beyond me - they feel the need to bully people into sharing their taste and watching/reading or perceiving things the same way they do.

It's annoying.

I don't think it's an internet thing. I just think some people, for whatever reason, never learned any manners. Or they think that manners only apply when talking to social superiors, like their boss, not in other, ordinary situations.

I don't know - I've been on fanboards on Voy, Facebook, and Twitter - and it's too prevalent to be dementia or for that matter people not learning manners. Some of these folks are really nice off line, but once they go online with a pseudonym or alias? Watch out. They become rude nitwits. I get the inclination - but some go a bit far.

No, it doesn't. Not if you don't much like conflict. (It's frustrating to me, but I can be super confrontational! If only that didn't lead to conflict, which I do not like at all.)

I'm much the same way. I tend to be aggressive and confront things head on. But despise conflict and arguments. I've gotten into all sorts of trouble online and off because of this tendency to speak my mind and/or question things.
