I know it's a weed, and honestly, if we were using the ramp as a ramp it'd have to come out, but... well, I've always liked the berries in fall, that's all. Probably the birds do too.
I may try vinegar on the roots under the ramp, see if that kills them. It has an advantage over commercial herbicides in that I already have high-strength vinegar in the house. We use it when we forget to get the laundry out of the washing machine, and if you think this is a rare occurrence you must not know any of us very well.
Every single root was covering another ten or more underneath it, and that is not an exaggeration. It's satisfying to get this crap up, but it'd be more satisfying if I could be sure I was done!
