Somewhere near the end of Season 4 the Patreon-plugging makes an excellent point: Paramount Plus is never going to pay to remaster DS9 so I may as well throw my money at them instead.

I feel very seen.

(Also, wtf, why would they cancel Lower Decks, those assholes?)

But now I'm sitting around waiting and waiting. I like to listen to things while I rip up the weeds in the garden, and I need something new. And everything takes forever to update with new episodes!

We recently watched "The Center Seat" which seemed a well done history of the franchise, and so yeah, Paramount -- what are they going to do, spin up yet another NCIS?

NCIS: Origins, and an as yet unnamed one featuring Tony & Ziva.

I did not. Good grief. I watch it, but partly because it's been nice to have the same show every Monday for YEARS. We are almost caught up with the main series.

Figures they'd cancel Lower Decks before we get around to watching it. At least Paramount releases their stuff on home media.

Lower Decks has to have the highest profit margin of any Star Trek, given that it's animated. That is, since TAS.
