As mentioned in that article, lab diamonds are not all dazzlingly "white" and perfect. There's a lot of grey, pink, yellow, green and even pitch black. It seems to me that unless you get the VVSI D "white" moissanite (lab diamond), you might as well be buying glass. I got a short strand of 23 tiny moissanite beads for about $60 US, as a light catcher on the dash of my car. The beads are greyish and hardly sparkle at all, not much more than AB "crystal" beads.
