Except that looking at the maps it seems like the snow will pass juuuuuuuuuuuust by NYC. My weather app agrees. Unfortunately, I guess everybody using stopandshop has decided not to bet against snow, and consequently everything I always get is out of stock. Not bread and milk, but onions? since when are onions ever out of stock anywhere!?
Well, I was going to wait until tomorrow evening to place the grocery order anyway, for delivery Friday. Maybe they'll restock, or if they don't, I can hit up the supermarket near me when *they* restock. (I don't really think there will be snow.)

Date: 2024-01-04 02:13 pm (UTC)The somewhat-serious French Toast Alert for the Boston area is now at three slices, "moderate, plowable snow predicted" and advising that it's time to buy an extra loaf of bread, gallon of milk, and dozen eggs. Not that we're going to be living on French toast, but those are the things that everyone seems to make a point to stock up on before predicted snowstorms.
