because, really, he'd only hurt himself - but I wasn't expecting the writers to go ahead and do it, much less for them to really lean all the way in to "yup, everything is better now that he got what he wanted".

And normally I'd call this an obvious fakeout, like, next season we'd find out that it's a dream state or that the world has become even more eerily depopulated than it already is (seriously, I think there's no more than 150 people in Paris at any given time) but... no, we got a few shots of the former secondary villain who has now promoted herself up to primary villain so I just don't think we're doing that.

It's a bold move, especially for a children's TV show. I continue to have many serious questions about the writing choices on this show, but if they can pull this one off, I think I'll let it pass.

Until you mentioned "children's show" I thought you were talking about Walking Dead....

That's basically the plot of the most recent two episodes of the Daryl Dixon spin off. It's pretty funny.

The other clue was this isn't the season end. I literally keep watching it thinking, how is paris this empty. There should either be more people or a lot more zombies.

I do not have high expectations from this show. And I always need something to have on while I'm cross stitching. :)
