Date: 2023-02-20 01:34 am (UTC)River: Frequently shows the belly, but does not actually like being belly-pet much. Was very spiky about this (mostly with claws) in the first year we had her, hence the trap-ness of it all, but is much less spiky now that we've had her for almost two years now.

Date: 2023-02-20 02:10 am (UTC)Phoebe very rarely shows her belly, and doesn't want it touched when she does. She won't attack, but she'll immediately roll over and walk away. Phoebe isn't big on pets generally, though. She likes having her head and face rubbed, and she'll accept pets to her back sometimes, but overall she's not a physically affectionate cat. I've had to learn to accept her on her own terms, and give her a lot of space.

Date: 2023-02-20 03:58 am (UTC)Adora (Ragdoll) belly = safe to pat. When she's had enough, she will either
a) very firmly push my hand away with a single velveted paw (no claws)
b) roll over
c) get up and walk away
