Also, I got scratched by a squirrel! Not today, last week - I decided to wait a week and see if my hand fell off first before posting about it. Both the CDC and two different forums of squirrel-loving weirdos* confirmed that a small scratch from a squirrel is extremely unlikely to be risky in any way, including a rabies way, and, well, they should know. But just in case, I didn't want an update from the hospital to be filled with I told you so's.

* but seriously, if only the squirrels loved me back.

I've never managed to get close enough to be scratched by a squirrel, though I was bitten by a shrew once - though that one's on teenaged me, as I picked it up in a field, and it wasn't a big fan of that plan. neither was I later, when I had to get rabies shots

The squirrels bang at the window if they arrive and there's no food out for them.

I probably should be more concerned about this.

I actually *would* be more concerned if I didn't already know they're the ones who snuck in last year around my a/c and stole my lunch. Twice.

...I'm going to have to figure out how to keep them out this summer, actually.

I did a RAM upgrade on my Mac desktop machine a month or two ago, from 8 GB to 24 GB. It was pretty easy, apart from the need to copy down the instructions from my computer screen onto paper so I could follow them while the computer was unplugged.

Our second best pandemic purchase was a printer. Seriously, without it, Eva would never have gotten into sewing.

If it's a standard desktop the RAM upgrade should be easy-peasy. If it's a laptop, go download the service manual. Trust me, laptops can be tricky.

I actually took apart my laptop several times before it finally gave up the ghost entirely, but this is a desktop and that's new to me.

I just updated mine and once I figured out how to open the machine it went great. Do recommend.

Congrats on the ram upgrade! I'm planning a new PC purchase later this year, and that'll come pre-built with 32 gig and is upgradable.

If it helps, laptop RAM only fits in one way. If it doesn't easily fit, don't force it.

I suspect desktop RAM may be similar, but I haven't looked at that in yonks now.
