HOW DID THANKSGIVING SNEAK UP ON ME!?

I am NOT ready for this.

I'm sorta blaming my mom's death* but, idk, I think it's just general malaise. Or maybe a cold. I think I might have a cold. I haven't had one in ages, because covid, but I've been stuffed up and my thoughts are all fuzzy.

* I can hear her voice now - "Sure, blame the dead woman!"

** Actually, I told her well before she died that I'd absolutely blame everything on her death once she passed, and she said it then, so I can hear her voice very accurately. It was a joking around conversation. And I'm glad we had it!

I'm a little shocked, too, that Thanksgiving is NEXT FREAKIN' WEEK! Because that means that Festival of the Cranes, a big photo shoot, is THIS WEEKEND, I was planning on buying a new (used) camera and going up there, but I'm not as I drove 500 miles Tuesday coming home from my dad's death and memorial and an unexpected three weeks in Phoenix with working on beginning to clean out the house and all that and am a bit knackered. And now I have to work out Thanksgiving stuff.

Never ends.
