It's up to Poland to decide whether to invoke Article 5 or just Article 4 or nothing. But as I understand it, NATO has other options than launching nukes.

I know this is hours later, but -- yep, it looks like Poland will go for 4. I suspect the US and some others are talking with it behind the scenes, trying to cool it down.

It looks like it was a Ukrainian-launched air defense missile that went awry. Unfortunate, but these things happen in war, especially when using Soviet and former Soviet hardware.

Yep. It now looks like Ukraine and Poland are talking it over quietly between themselves.

Russia is ultimately to blame, either way, and I don't think either country will forget that.

Oh, absolutely no doubt the ultimate blame is on Russia's/Putin's hands and head.  I'm amazed there have been no artillery strikes on bordering Russian cities, Zelenski has shown remarkable restraint in not doing that, or perhaps it's just conservation of ammunition to use against purely military targets, something the ass in the Kremlin will not do.
