is listening to them continuing to rehash the fight over the phone to all their friends after it's ostensibly over.

If it's fucking over, get off your stoop and go inside! Go tell all your friends what a bitch the neighbor is inside.

At least this time it doesn't seem to have escalated to actual violence. Came home from the hospital one day, saw a bevy of cop cars parked in front of our house, but it was because of these two neighbors. Apparently there was a knife involved, and all I know is I cannot wait for one or both of them to move.

As near as I can tell, one of them yelled at the other's kid, and the other came over to yell at her for yelling at her kid, saying it's HER kids who always misbehave, to which the first one says no they don't because when they do she hits them and - it's times like this when I really understand why child services is always barking up that woman's butt.

(Well, also times like when I walk the dogs at midnight and her entire pack of children is outside without any supervision, and I'm sure none of them is older than 10.)

I'm really more alarmed by the fact that one or more of their kids were involved. Those kids are not very big yet.
