But Canada's COLD. Urg. How's Australia, or New Zealand? Are they any better? They're warmer, I know that.

Well, during the summer, anyway...

Humans are animals. Why do we try to separate ourselves from the rest of nature??

well you go have sex with monkeys, pigs, cows.

Animals do not have sex with different kinds of animals. I fail to see the relevance of your argument.

humans know the difference between right and wrong and animals do not. that is why we humans are higher creatures that rule over all of the animals. we are in charge of them they are not the ones in charge of us.

If you have that opinion, then it is pointless to argue with you, since I cannot see your viewpoint at all..

It's nice and warm here in Vancouver - a little on the rainy side, but some winters with no snow at all. Mountains, giant redwoods, ocean, coolest metropolitan centre in Canada (sorry, Toronto)...

I'm always trying to lure defecting Americans this way :-)

Australia 'soft on terror, hard on gays' (http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/08/12/1092102595712.html?from=top5&oneclick=true)

Silly title aside, Australia is turning out to be just about as ridiculous as the US on the issue. New Zealand, however, has been pushing to become the 3rd country to legalize gay marriage. I can't find any articles but I think the process got a bit sidetracked and Canada may have beaten them.

I've looked into emigrating to both, actually, and I'm still pissy Australia had to go and fuck things up. It looks like a lovely country.

Whooo! I shall have to tell my friends Tess and Dalain if they do not already know -- they are from Manitoba originally. It'll give them an excuse to say more glorified things about Canada, but, it's justified!

Except for the Artic, Canada in winter is no colder than, say, Minnesota in winter. And the coast of British Columbia is warmer in winter than any part of the States that gets snow in winter.

I might add, MN is not hardly as cold as people think it is. Just get a jacket, you'll be fine.
