How the hell did the bathroom sink get this clogged with hair?

I took apart the ubend, but it looks like I'm gonna have to snake it. And I don't know where the snake IS. At least the pipes are all new.

Same in my house. The guys always think it’s my fault because I’m the only one with long hair. But I don’t comb my hair in the bathroom; don’t even dry it there! I wrap it up in a towel and do all that in my own room. So how on earth does the hair get down the sink drain?
