If you can't see my address in the stickied post at the top, PM me and I'll send it to you. I don't need to keep track of these, so there's no need to avoid PMs! (I have an annoying tendency to forget I had things in an inbox I wanted to save and - whoops, there they go, all deleted. I have never found an actual solution to this other than workarounds.)

oddly enough, I don't think I have any postcards - so unusual for me. would a pretty blank card with flowers/plants on it work? and what's her fave colour - I'll see if I can find one in that family

My mom's mom gave her a French name with classic French spelling and I'm addicted to the sound and looks of the French language (the way it looks written down is a thing for me, kind of like British English spelling is also) so have always wondered if there's French in the family or at least some past residency there by ancestors perhaps, though I guess c'est pas grave.

I grabbed a postcard with butterflies, from a batch I bought a couple of years ago, and it will go in the mail in the next day or so, along with some paperwork my mother asked me to mail for her.

I actually have a bunch of post cards, so I can do that. Also, am I remembering correctly that she's francophone? I can put a small message in French if you think she'd appreciate it? Or would that be weird/overly familiar?

You do remember correctly, and she will absolutely be over the moon to get messages in French. She doesn't get enough opportunities to speak French with people in her daily life, not since the pandemic. Before the pandemic there was always somebody, a taxi driver or a doorman or somebody near her on the train, but now?

I'll try to find something not overly touristy early next week and mail it, although intercontinental mail delays being what they are, that may come too late to be useful.
