Well, I do like mockingbirds. They're the one not-terrible thing about climate change. Persistent little cuties.

Whatever the word is for half-amused, half-exasperated is how I felt trying to explain to one of the dorm students that the bird singing on his balcony at 3 a.m. is most definitely not a robin. He kept insisting it was, while I was explaining the habits of the mockingbirds in springtime. I suspect "robin" was the only bird he knew and he applied that name to all of them. :-D
