It's still stuck on last week's settings.

FFS, it's only been a week hasn't it. This is the advantage of my life-induced enforced semi media break. I barely notice little things like mass shootings. But my mother asked what the heck was going on, so I looked it up, and immediately nearly vomited as the first article was about some GOP pig going on about how we can't "reflexively" do gun control.

So I still don't much know what happened, and that's okay, I don't really want to!

But quite seriously, sooner or later we're all going to get collectively fed up with the gun nuts stonewalling every reasonable, sensible gun control legislation and just say "fuck it". Is this really what they want? Because if so, we might as well just say "fuck it" now and, idk, put a dent in the sheer number of mass shootings.

After Sandy Hook and no changes occurred, I came to the conclusion that it would take a bunch of politicians getting shot-up for change to happen. When that happened in 2017 and still no action was taken on gun violence, I knew we were doomed as a country.

Maybe if the shooter in that case had better aim as none of the R's shot died. But I doubt it.

I mean, if you enacted actual gun control, then white men wouldn't be able to kill anyone they wanted to at will and escape the consequences that would be put on any other person if they did the same thing. And then we'd have anarchy, because then it might be true that white men had to obey the law.
