Things I liked to do as a kid, and mostly still like but hardly do anymore:

1. Jumping up and down when the elevator is going down, for that brief "weightless" feeling at the top of the jump

2. Waving at security cameras

3. Taking an empty cup, putting it against my face, and breathing in until it's suctioned against my mouth

4. Spinning in office chairs

5. Spinning without the aid of an office chair

6. Breaking the top part of a mostly-still-unfrozen ice cube, sucking out the innards like a vampire

7. Petting the new spring leaves on plants which keep their leaves over winter, because they're so bright and soft compared to the old leaves

8. Peeling the bark off of plane trees and crape myrtle (I will never not do this, but I'm putting it on the list anyway)

We have a Japanese maple tree. When we needed other arborist work, they had to walk past it to get to the tree in question, and all of them (2 or 3 guys) patted it as they walked past.

Japanese maples are so pretty, though. And apparently you can fry the leaves in tempura.

Been there, done that:
1. Not quite a fun as the floating feeling on a fast roller coaster. But still it was good.

4. I still like to push off to turn in an office chair rather than step like an adult.

8. Plane trees, we called them sycamores. We had a big one in our yard. I was lucky enough to see migrating monarch butterflies fill it for a few minutes one fall.

4, 5, and 7 I still do/have always done. 6 is an occasional. 2 would be a thing if I were more aware of where security cameras were (eyeball-related critical failure). 1 I forgot about, but will so do at the next opportunity! XD
