Was forced to endure a really, really, really annoying version of Santa Baby. I'm not one of those who just hates on all versions of the song. Many are tolerable. But for that to happen, the singer has to know the difference between singing and overacting.

idk I feel like Baby It’s Cold Outside can give any Santa B$*y a run for its money (as the worst xmas song, I mean - obvs not as a version of the same song). (Which is a shame because I really like Loesser in general, but ugh.)

Quite true, and let's not pretend I didn't misread the original post and comment, or I'd never have branched out away from Santa Whozit in the first place. ;-) It's just that it's now 2021 and I still hear it over canned music systems in grocery stores and whatnot, this song that is all about not taking no for an answer. So it shorted out my reading comprehension for just a second this morning.

Mmm. I'm more on the side that strongly dislikes most versions of the song, because of the stinger not knowing where the line is, but I may also just be a Grinch about a lot of holiday caroling being piped in through the store sound systems.
