I had (looks like I no longer do) a MP3 of Frosty the Pervert, and probably last listened to that years after I last heard the 'dane version, so you can probably figure out the answer without me saying it.

I didn't remember Frosty going anywhere. But I did just listen to the first line of the song to make sure the tune that was coming to mind is the right one (it was), and based on that one line, I'd guess the 2nd bullet.

I'm afraid Gene Autry's hit record didn't leave any memory of Frosty's details in me and I studiously avoided watching the cartoon when it came along. So, my answer: I don't know!

I voted "hills" based on my memories of what the version from the Rankin-Bass cartoon sounded like. But "fields" sounds just right-enough that I would believe it's been recorded both ways.

I think our version is a bit shorter and different though. The end is just:
