If you found yourself in a fictional universe and could introduce somebody to some media from Back Home, which universe and what would you pick and why? No introducing people to their own stories - you can't give any of the Star Trek franchise to Picard, but you could introduce Seven of Nine to Backyardigans if you felt so inclined.

On the flipside, which media from which universe would you really like to get in full?

I for one have the deep impression that our dear Murderbot could really get into something silly and perhaps a bit soapy with superheroes. Legends of Tomorrow, maybe.

Murderbot would be Super into telenovellas. Also Grey's Anatomy with the Way Out There episodes (bomb in a body cavity; guy encased in cement, two patients impaled on same subway pole etc.) combined with Background Relationship Drama would be their speed too, IMO.

I would give Benjamin January and Hannibal Sefton a Spotify account. (I once wrote a fic actually that was basically "let Ben January learn about jazz")

(I would also stick Benjamin January and Hannibal Sefton and a few of their friends in a recording studio, because researching that fic made be realize how little of the music that became jazz we have any record at all of.)

(I'm not even a big jazz fan in general! But Ben and Hannibal would be.)

Catra of the new She-Ra secretly loves the Clangers, everyone else is much more overt about it. They don't let Entrapta watch any episodes unless they're very sure there are no building tools near her, not after she tried to recreate some of the Clangers out of old Horde bot parts.

Yanno, it's not nearly long enough for most purposes, but Murderbot would totally love using My Neighbor Totoro as a destressor, and I think we should point it in that movie's direction.
