That school is local, and indeed we considered sending Eaglet there. We (including other parents) have been watching the story reportage since it broke last night.

Also, the other article seems much more like people feel more empowered to let their particular brand of beliefs hang out and to act on them against people they assume/believe won't be able to actually do anything against them. (Or they believe that higher-up politicians will support them and demand that employees do the thing instead of telling the conspiracists to go away.)

Meanwhile, in Australia, there are A LOT of people desperate to get vaccinated who haven't been able to get vaccinated because our Prime Minister cheaped out on buying enough vaccine...

they only just opened up bookings for ages 16 to 30 here...

my state is vaccinating 0.7% of the state's population per day...

As someone who has refused the vaccine for what I consider valid and defensible treasons I find this just a wee bit over the top.

If your reason isn't deathly allergy or some other form of "your doctor told you the vaccine would be actively harmful to you" then I think the piece is perfectly applicable.
