When I was a teenager, I left my bras strewn on the floor in my bedroom, like any good disheveled teenager would. One day, I was amused to observe the family cat playing with one.

...several hours later, my mother asks me, "R, why is your bra on the floor in the living room?"

I've done pretty well with putting bras away since my son started taking turns doing the family laundry. As long as my bras are in their mesh bag, he'll remember not to put them in the dryer. But if I forget and toss one in the basket, or leave it on the floor or on a hook where it gets gathered into a basket, it's getting tumble dried. Mesh bag. Every time.

"Somewhere safe" is usually the answer to "where is this thing I cannot find?" Perhaps in a bureau drawer or other place where it was put so that it could ride out the pandemic unmolested?
