We had guests today...

who accidentally brought their VERY FRIENDLY VERY HAPPY PUPPY. She's four times the weight of either of our dogs, and SO EXCITED TO SEE THEM.

She's a good dog. Just... a little exuberant. Hooboy.

We also talked about 9/11 a lot. So much 9/11-y talk for a while there.

How do you "accidentally" bring a puppy?

Oh shit, has it really been 20 years in a coupla days? Don't like that thought.

She can't drive anymore due to serious cataracts, so her husband drove. The puppy has serious separation anxiety and they couldn't leave her home because she would rip up the house. So they brought the dog, intending for her husband to bring her back home with him, but the kids hated the idea of leaving her in the car and so they asked if they could bring her in the house and we said yes.

She is a sweet dog and very well-behaved... for a puppy.

Neither do I. In addition to the too-horrible crimes themselves, it's spoiled the day for so many people whose birthday falls on that date too, including one long-dead friend of mine.
