(This is a very big house.)

If we'd known what a hassle it would be, not to mention the cost, we would've just replaced the downstairs stove and moved kitchens.

Of course, it would've been both faster and cheaper if we'd given up on our sink and gotten a new one instead. We weren't willing to do that, but now that I think about it seriously, I'm pretty sure we could've very nearly broke even if we'd sold the old sink and gotten a new one in its place.

Still, we love that sink. As I said, it's original to the house. Selling it? Not worth it at any price!

If ever we should have to move, forget "everything but the kitchen sink". After all this, I'll take it with us!
