I was so excited to see Refa die, guys. SO EXCITED. I could watch that scene all day.

And Jenn and Eva seemed surprised by how that episode turned out, too.

Marcus has shown up, looking like he hangs out in the Renaissance section of the Met, perfecting his look. At least, I thought it was Marcus all this time, but I looked up the actor on Wikipedia and it's not the character, it's the actor. Admittedly, he has the facial structure to pull it off.

Franklin has stopped his self-indulgent assholery, and is his walkabout cultural appropriation or not? AND WHY ARE THERE NO THERAPISTS IN THIS PLACE!?

Meanwhile, on Z'ha'dum, I gotta say, the shipcrash collaborators have a really nice tea set. You can see Morden drinking out of the cup here, and you can see them pouring from the pot here (ctrl+f for the word "tea" or scroll down). I have so many questions about this scene, mostly variations on "Can I buy that tea set for myself" and "So... are they making regular supply trips to get this chamomile tea or what!?" I'm sorry, the image of Morden picking up his groceries in between asking aggressive questions and being threatened by Vir is just too funny. I wonder if Babylon 5 has a laundromat, or if the Shadows have kindly provided a washer/dryer hookup with the human apartments....

the shipcrash collaborators have a really nice tea set

One of the minor pleasures of watching B5 is noticing the set-dressers’ use of arty-but-commercially-available 1990s tableware and knickknacks as Futuristic or Alien Decor. It’s like the station has a Pier 1 Imports store tucked away somewhere.

I confess I'm not rewatching with Marty now, so I'm not fresh on this, but there are some ones with high rectangular backs, kind of an openwork grid. Black. The kind of thing you would own if you were also the kind of person who had a black leather (or faux-leather) sofa. So every guy I dated in the late 80s-early 90s.

I’ve got some of those martini glasses with the stems that join to the side rather than the point of the cone, and they might have used some of those too?

On the flipside, it's mildly humorous to see them using fruits and vegetables readily available in my local supermarket as "weird looking probably alien food".

In the first season rebirth ceremony, the fruit they show is a particular variety of cherry tomato that we've often grown in our backyard!

I love how good they managed to make it look on the budget they had. Patio furniture in the conference room!

The tea set looks like Mikasa maybe.
