i've had that before. or i'd have that for a day & not have an real period for nearly two months. and other assorted WTF-ery.

cancer runs in my family, so i think the worst, but then it goes back to normal (whatever that is) and i try not to worry. all i know is, if it starts up even once after menopause, it's a sign of major trouble.

Nope, I've definitely had way more stress than this.

I know a woman who naturally went through menopause at 27. This was way back before penicillin, and medical practice was limited then, to be sure, but it was not the result of intervention, disease, or trauma. I did it at 57, and my mom did it at 58. All our numbers are averages.

That said, it's always good to talk to your doctor about anomolies.

I started having menopause symptoms in my 40s, which isn't necessarily early.

I lived with someone who started having "weirdness" at 23. On and off for the next 20ish years after that.
