Poetry reading with 'dul.
Sep. 1st, 2004 12:01 amHe was the star, by far. Hey, that rhymed! Seriously, though, he got TONS of applause, people coming up to him to personally admire him. He's got fans. And a 10-year-old friend of my Mom's (and now the rest of us) read a poem. Nothing stellar, but I admire her ability to do that. Not everybody can. And Ana was supremely well-behaved for most of it. Yes, she sometimes made a little too much noise, but less than the ubiquitous cell phones, and she's getting good with the concept of "shh!". Then it got late, and her teeth are still coming in, so 'dul had to take her out for the end. *shrugs*
It's true what my mom says. That corner is becoming like a miniature version of the Village. Honestly, you'd have to come here to see it. The Muddy Cup, ladies and gentlemen, wonderful place, bathtub full of books, where I had my first chai. Come visit!
And lots of gay people, which is why I get to use the icon. Kinda a stupid reason, and statement, but I want to use it at least a few times!
